So. It turns out that not only is left Twitter not real life - but it has no connection to real life. What do I mean by that?

LEFT TWITTER: Corbyn is the man! The polls are all lying!

Tories 44% Labour 32%

LEFT TWITTER: Sanders is the man! Biden is a joke!

Biden routs Sanders
LEFT TWITTER: You support Starmer? Do you have no principles? He's a joke!

Starmer 56% Long-Bailey 28%

Are people on here going to get the message at any point? Isn't it tiring to be so wrong all the time?
Kudos to all those who've prioritised the best realistic outcome over their egos. All those who've thought long and hard on both sides of the Atlantic about how urgent it is to get rid of Trump and get rid of the Tories.

Self-reflection and self-criticism is brave and necessary
You know what I think of those who just cannot bring themselves to do that? I think they're terrified and, in many cases, cowards.

It takes real courage to step outside of your bubble and your echo chamber. I'm hugely impressed by how many have.
Labour supporters and Democratic supporters WANT TO WIN. Many, many, many potential Labour and Democratic voters did not vote for Corbyn and would not vote for Sanders.

You can either keep attacking the electorate forever... or listen to them and act accordingly.
And to those actually talking about starting a 'new progressive movement/párty' which 'represents their values'... People's Front of Judea, eat your heart out.

And if you go ahead, many congratulations on doing the Tories' work for them. All those who die will be SO grateful.
