I think the overwhelming majority of people on the left understand that with politics comes some degree of compromise, but the problem with the 2016 & 2020 general elections is that they're not asked to meet halfway, they're asked to give up on EVERY issue they care about.

Medicare for all, free college, living wage, end the wars, green new deal, legal marijuana, abolish student debt, stop outsourcing etc. Not a single person on the left believes Biden will fight for ANY of these things! You're told to swallow neoliberal corporatism & shut up.

Biden is going to try cultural stuff to reach out to young people on the left now. Instead of fully embracing one or two policy issues they care about.
