This is like throwing a Republican off a ballot if they were pro-choice or supported gay marriage. It's unnecessarily narrow-minded and only pushes parties further and further from the center.
His district is in Memphis so most likely any Democrat can hold it & that's probably why the party decided to get rid of him, but the idea of party purges in safe seats to replace those who aren't 100% "loyal" is horrible.

Lipinski just lost his primary. Let the voters decide.
