Especially with #COVIDー19 bearing down globally, a ceasefire that might allow a response plan to be agreed between the sides is critically important.

All parties to the conflict need to keep this in mind as they think about the next steps they take. Peace has to be the priority.
5/x I hope those at @StateDept @WHNSC @DeptofDefense are keeping this in the front of their mind as they make choices about how to seize the moment for talks to move forward.
