Bernie reminds me why I am both a Christian and a leftist. In spite of everything, in spite of what seems reasonable or possible, we fight for the dignity of all people to have a flourishing life, with their material needs met, with restorative justice fulfilled

It’s an ongoing, uphill fight, that doesn’t start or end with one person or in your or my lifetime. We carry each of us through it. In the losses they’ll tell us not to bother, that we should accept what we’re given, that we have enough.

But we keep on because at the core we have a deep and radical love for our fellow humans. We’re driven by a hope that springs eternal, even when things are dark. Today is a tough day, but we go onward. #NotMeUs
