There are only two people working harder than my wife in our community and they are doctors. As the director of the entire hospital, she is handling much more than just staff. She is working through changes to standards by the minute and is now in charge of a COVID-19 hospital.

She is handling questions from community members, family members, guiding our town through this and is still being a wonderful mother to our children. Her mom is in the LTC facility in the hospital and checks in on her daily.

There is no better person in our community to be in charge and facing this challenge than her. She’s strong, incredibly practical in her thoughts, calm in her demeanor and direct in her communication. People in our community are fearing this designation...

To that I say, we are unbelievably fortunate that she is the one leading us through this. She left home this morning early and is still in meetings right now. She has likely not eaten all day and is still serving our community.

My wife is quite literally at the forefront of the Covid-19 battle in our community and for that sake, I know we are in strong hands and she will not be defeated. Instead of fearing this designation, let’s approach this as confidence in her strength and her team

People fear Covid-19, my wife fears nothing. To that end, I say good luck to this virus, it’s a fight you cannot win.
