I am so disappointed to learn that @BernieSanders is suspending his presidential campaign. It has been so long since I've had some hope for the future of our country and our world, but the movement Bernie has built has given me that.

This global crisis has only further proven that he's exactly the kind of leader we need. I hope democratic party insiders get the hell over themselves and embrace Bernie's platform before the party implodes.

This crisis has also reminded me that I will take literally anyone over Trump. Even if the only difference is in how the speak to the American people. We need a better leader.

I hope Biden does the right thing and moves further left. We have to continue to fight for ourselves and for others, regardless of which party is in the white house. Let's not ignore things like the record number of deportations that happened under Obama.

Personally, I probably won't be voting for Biden, because I don't live in a swing state (great system we have here). I think my vote has more power if I use it to tell the democratic party to go fuck themselves

last thing: I'm seeing a lot of ppl say that not voting for Biden is showing your privilege. mostly coming from wealthy and middle class white folks, while the folks I see saying they won't vote Biden are marginalized ppl who have suffered greatly under every administration.

so if you feel that way, I'd encourage you to take some time and listen to the folks who can't bring themselves to vote for Biden. be open minded. maybe you'll learn something
