(3/6) you have not one single excuse not to be doing so. Try to scrounge up a drop of empathy and you will realize you are not being asked too much. If you live a comfortable life, are blessed with health and safety - it is your DUTY to help out those who are not -
(4/6)The number of deaths today in New York alone is terrifying. The peak is not predicted to hit for another 4 days. You seeing your friends and not ruining your plans means SHIT compared to innocent people losing their family. People facing economic crisis -
(5/6) for as long as this continues. And this hasn’t even touched on the way that minorities are facing these struggles the hardest. If you find yourself in ANY position of privilege during this and you abuse that position: you are undeserving of the fortunate place you hold.
You are not above a global emergency. You are not above the people suffering while you contribute and make things worse. I’m sorry to say that people who consider themselves invincible often learn they are not, the hard way. Stop being stupid. Stop being cruel. Stay home.
and yes this thread was just a little bit inspired by my idiot neighbor having a big group of his friends over. Like if he should be reported!
