Something I didn’t anticipate in the time of corona was how much of my job I’d be teaching to another person because I can’t physically be there to do it myself. That might sound stressful to some, but I’ve actually been enjoying it.
I’ve always gravitated toward teaching because I think education is the one of the most valuable things we can give to each other. And even though my days don’t usually consist of me directly teaching people, the days when I can take on that role are some of the most rewarding.
This thread is mostly to remind myself why I do the work I do. In these strange times when it’s natural to feel lost and unsure of oneself, it’s a good exercise to take a moment and reevaluate why you’re here and what value you bring. To whoever needs to hear this: you matter.
