Got a text from my mom. My father has a fever and his oxygen levels aren't great. Facility where he lives is sending him to the hospital.
And now I get to live with the fact that he's in an assisted living center because I insisted on it.
This man <never> gets sick. Like, ever. So yes I'm worried he has the virus. He also has lung issues from putting out asbestos fires in the '80s.

A year ago he was in his own apartment. But he kept falling so we got him into assisted living. And now he's sick.
I am not blaming the facility, btw. It may sound like I was, but I'm not. Those people are heroes, and I know they did what they could to keep the virus out. (they stopped admitting visitors weeks ago)
Doctor called my mom at 1am to get admission information on my father. Not a nurse or a technician. The actual doctor who's attending him. Apparently this doc was great. Answered all my mom's questions and calmed her down. Not sure the doc's name but you can bet I'll find out.
doctor called. his oxygen levels are down a bit more; doctor wanted to confirm with my mom that they might need to use a ventilator. might not. that's all I know at this point. thank you all for the comments all night.
Nurse called this time. No ventilator needed at this point. He's been admitted and tested for the virus. Will probably know more on Saturday. Thanks all.
