Got a text from my mom. My father has a fever and his oxygen levels aren& #39;t great. Facility where he lives is sending him to the hospital.
And now I get to live with the fact that he& #39;s in an assisted living center because I insisted on it.
This man <never> gets sick. Like, ever. So yes I& #39;m worried he has the virus. He also has lung issues from putting out asbestos fires in the & #39;80s.

A year ago he was in his own apartment. But he kept falling so we got him into assisted living. And now he& #39;s sick.
I am not blaming the facility, btw. It may sound like I was, but I& #39;m not. Those people are heroes, and I know they did what they could to keep the virus out. (they stopped admitting visitors weeks ago)
My father was taken to the emergency room two hours ago. He& #39;s 73 years old. Retired firefighter who saved over 300 lives in his career.

I hope this piece of shit rots in hell. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="⬇" title="Downwards arrow" aria-label="Emoji: Downwards arrow"> https://www.mediaite.com/news/bill-oreillys-macabre-take-many-who-died-from-coronavirus-were-on-their-last-legs-anyway/">https://www.mediaite.com/news/bill...
Doctor called my mom at 1am to get admission information on my father. Not a nurse or a technician. The actual doctor who& #39;s attending him. Apparently this doc was great. Answered all my mom& #39;s questions and calmed her down. Not sure the doc& #39;s name but you can bet I& #39;ll find out.
doctor called. his oxygen levels are down a bit more; doctor wanted to confirm with my mom that they might need to use a ventilator. might not. that& #39;s all I know at this point. thank you all for the comments all night.
Nurse called this time. No ventilator needed at this point. He& #39;s been admitted and tested for the virus. Will probably know more on Saturday. Thanks all.
