the concept of the dyad is SO COOL. they’re two who are one, bound by the force. it’s been prophesied by both the jedi AND the sith for thousands of years. and it was so powerful that both the jedi and the sith tried and failed to forcibly create one. (1/4)

and that prophesied dyad that the jedi and the sith were obsessed with? it ended up being rey and ben. they could tell so. many. stories. about the dyad. it’s literally a bond through space and time that was prophesied for GENERATIONS, and they only explored it for a few (2/4)

minutes before throwing it away. how does that even make sense from a business standpoint? they could make so much money off of dyad stories. and not just that, but it’s such a cool piece of lore. “two who are one” COME ON! who doesn’t want to learn more about that? (3/4)

what was the point in introducing that, and not expanding on it? especially when it involves the heroine, and the last skywalker (who also happens to be the fan favorite). throwing that away doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint, or a storytelling standpoint. (4/4)
