emperor ling yao thread because i LOVE him and i miss fma brotherhood

when ling returned from amestris and was guaranteed to be the next emperor he did not expect the amount of work that had to be done. all the requirements and emperor related things BORE him to death.

he had to be /composed/ and well-behaved. the yao clan knows full well about the young master's shenanigans, so they became extra strict on training him

ling was tired of all the bs he had to do (lmao), and most of the things he did everyday was restricted

he was forbidden to sit inappropriately, and he had to put some clothes on.

"young master, please cooperate, you have to put on clothes to be presentable."

ling was forbidden to cut his hair, and he had to keep it on a high ponytail or a bun. i have a headcanon ling doesnt like having hair that is too long, so when he was told of this rule he absolutely was against it lmao.

ed, who was visiting xing, heard these rumors and got mad. edward doesnt particularly like ling (in fact, hes annoyed lol) but he knows ling has the qualities of a good leader
