With only F O U R days left until we welcome our daughter, it’s really hitting me hard that we will no longer be just the two of us.

We are beyond blessed to have not just conceived a healthy baby girl, but to carry her to term, and be able to call her ours but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t somewhat saddened to say goodbye to this lifestyle we’ve become so accustomed to. ⁣
We’ve had over two years of unlimited intimacy + ample one on one time. To think about leaving that behind and now learning to share that love is nothing short of overwhelming.
I’m excited to expand our family but I am in a way also grieving what is soon to become our past life.
I choose to acknowledge the commonly held idea that kids change a marriage, but I only accept it as fuel to S T R E N G T H it—not weaken it.
So as we say goodbye to life as we know it, we’re anxious to say hello to our new reality.
To successfully take on yet another beautiful gift God has entrusted us with despite what odds this tarnished world might place on us. And there is no one else I’d rather take on this journey with.
Here’s to us, love. To the wonderful years we have behind us and to the wonderfully new years we have yet to discover. 🥂🤍
