My progressive lovelies pining for Elizabeth Warren to be VP need to understand something:

The VP is a member of a president's administration, not their own independent power center agitating for outcomes themselves. They must tow the company line when the time comes.
At best, a VP can be in the room to influence decision-making, if a president wills it.

I want Elizabeth Warren beholden to no one except the constituents who sent her to the Senate.

She can move mountains from where she sits right now today. She ALREADY HAS.
I want her in the foreground. For me, that means she needs to stay in the United States Senate where she has a megaphone every time she opens her mouth instead of being folded into an administration where a man limits what she can say.

Ask Mitch how well that went.
