I've heard prominent progressives mention they don't want to vote for #Biden2020 because of him not having a single policy #Bernie2020 would believe in. However, I wanted to provide a thread as to why I'm #VoteBlueNoMatterWho despite supporting #NotMeUs for a long time.
Joe wanting nothing to fundamentally change is a common sentiment among progressives. However, these supreme court picks (and national judges) enable a system so far right that it doesn't matter if there's a progressive POTUS in 2024; nothing CAN fundamentally change.
Progressives are a massive wing of Dem voters, and there isn't the infrastructure in the US for the two party system to be challenged.Republicans openly oppose everything both socially and economically we claim to stand for. The DNC is the sole national apparatus we have.
In terms of policy, Biden has:
-The fight for 15
-Abolishing private prisons
-Paid family leave
- Warrens bankruptcy bill
-tuition free college for 125k> households
-higher capital gains tax
-Comprehensive plans for improving housing & infrastructure
-Gun control measures
-A plan for fighting climate change
-Reversing some significant immigration policy enacted by Trump
-SOME action about healthcare

While he is significantly to the right of me, Biden needs to be compared to an administration intentionally exacerbating these systemic issues.
Instead of advocating for #DemExit , what we need to do as #BernieSanders supporters is establish the infrastructure necessary to implement our desired policy. Use our coalition to support local and national races down the ticket who support our cause.
Transcend electoral politics through volunteering with movements who share our goals. These two are not at odds, and can work in tandem to strengthen the position of each other. Regroup to figure out any potential issues with our framework to avoid giving ammo for opponents.
I understand why people (myself included) are heartbroken. But this can't be the end for us. The only way we have a shot is through our votes preventing an actual end to our movement. #BernieSanders2020 #BernieSanders #VoteBlueNoMatterWho #VoteBlueNoMatterWho #ThankYouBernie
