This thread is about my queer psychological drama|slice-of-life webcomic.
The Guide to a Healthy Relationship is a character study about an immature alcoholic trying to make amends with his ex-childhood friend after ruining everything.

I took this story on in 2016 as a means of coping with and tackling personal issues. With a 17+ rating the comic is a slow burn, character driven story dealing with heavy topics like mental health, trauma, abuse and suicidality. At nearly 200 pages it has a good sized archive.
The story follows Apollo Rivers, a giant manchild who moved to La Ciudad, California 5 years ago after a couple events that caused him to leave his town in Ohio. He isn& #39;t the brightest and keeps himself happily ignorant with the help of booze. He also has ocular albinism.
Mostly from Apollo& #39;s perspective we also follow Julian, Apollo& #39;s ex-childhood friend and an extremely stressed, unhappy individual with some serious issues. They disappeared one day, supposedly committing suicide, only to show up in La Ciudad as a janitor over 5 years later.
Daniel Klaus is also a major player. He is Julian& #39;s partner, a registered nurse and possibly has knowledge of where Julian disappeared to those years ago. Daniel is a rather upbeat guy, very calm and always has a smile on his face. He doesn& #39;t talk about himself much.
The comic is almost 100% traditionally drawn in color pencils, with only small adjustments being made in photoshop. Visuals and presentation doesn& #39;t start on the best foot, but improved over the years. The story is about halfway done and close to hitting it& #39;s first climax!
Overall if you don& #39;t like romance, enjoy dark, aggressively sad, non-fantastical stories focusing on the human experience, flawed characters, drama, and psychology, TGtaHR may be right up your alley. For the curious, there will also be a positive ending. http://tgtahr.spiderforest.com"> http://tgtahr.spiderforest.com
-Sits there wondering how many people are going to know that la ciudad just means & #39;the city& #39; in Spanish-
May as well bump this thread since I buried it under all my retweets. Lol
