#covid19 exposes the complexities & inequalities of our political, economic & social systems.

The fault lines have been laid bare.

Various organisations tried to fill the gaps:

schools supported, watched over, and fed vulnerable children—providing a safe space.

#covid19 has exposed all this and more. It was always there of course, if you were prepared to look, but now it can’t be hidden.

The veil on our social failings has been ripped away.

Going forward, we’ll have to ask ourselves some very tough questions.

Are we prepared to prop up inequality? Or are we prepared to make the necessary changes to build a more just society?

As an addendum, this thread is incredibly important- mirroring in grim reality the Lord Farquaad quote: “Some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.”
