BARBIE GOING BAD FREESTYLE - NICKI MINAJ (Meek & Drake diss)
“Neck tat day ‘Onika’”

In December 2018, Nicki’s husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, tattooed “Onika” on his neck, which is Nicki’s government name.
“I got more slaps than Aretha”

In March 2017, Nicki broke Aretha Franklin’s record for the female artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 hits. Nicki’s record at the time was 76 while Aretha’s was 73.
Nick also talked about the achievement on 2 Chainz‘ 2017 song “Realize:”

“Papoose wrote a Ether record
But I broke Aretha record”

This line mirrors Drake’s line from the original song:

“I got more slaps than The Beatles”
“When you lose the queen niggas friendly dawg, it was just ‘Back 2 Back’ like Wembley dawg”

Meek Mill and Drake reconciled in September 2018 after Drake brought out Meek during the Aubrey & The Three Migos tour.
Their beef originally began in 2015 after Meek accused Drake of using ghostwriters to help write his lyrics on “R.I.C.O.” Drake responded with “Charged Up” and followed up with “Back To Back”—the latter song which Nicki quotes.
Wembley Stadium is a football stadium in Wembley, London. It originally opened in 1923 before being demolished & reopening in 2007—prompting Nicki’s “back to back” wordplay. Minaj has called Drake her brother since 2010, & “old boy” is Meek Mill who Nicki dated until January 2017
It’s rumored that Nicki and Drake are no longer friends—in December 2018, the two unfollowed each other on Instagram and Drake linked up with many of her enemies. In the music video for Nicki’s 2018 song “Hard White”—released two days prior—a scorpion is seen ripped in pieces.
Fans quickly theorized that this was a shot at Drake, since a scorpion is his zodiac sign and is also the name of his 2018 album
“Now you all the way back up in the Bentley dawg”

In 2011, Nicki bought a pink Bentley Continental GT with window tints and was spotted driving it to the 2011 Grammy Awards. Nicki also rapped about her Bentley on her 2018 song “Chun-Li”:

“Bentley tints on, Fendi prints on”
“I turn lemons into lemonade simply dawg”

This is a play on the phrase “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.“ For Nicki, it means she uses negativity & bad press & flips it to her advantage. Simply Lemonade is also a juice product made by the Simply Orange Juice Company.
It may also be a wink at Beyoncé’s 2016 album Lemonade. Nicki name-dropped Bey later in her verse.
“I heard they looking for the old me”

Nicki expressed a similar sentiment on her 2010 Pink Friday cut “Dear Old Nicki”:

“So I just deaded you, left you in all black. But dear old Nicki, please call back”

She has also said “bitches want my old shit buy my old mixtapes” so
“A couple of you niggas still owe me”

Nicki has made it known that she helped put a lot of male rappers onto mainstream success.

“Look at these niggas I put on, all of these niggas I’m good on” - Realize

The things she’s done for Meek are plentiful yet he still did her dirty
“You asked for the GOAT so they sent me SLEEZE”

Nicki may be talking about DJ Self, a radio host in New York. In August 2018, Nicki appeared on Clue’s radio show to promote her album Queen.
During the show, Self made a few comments about Nicki not having a better album than another female rapper after she left—which many fans believed to be Cardi B. Shortly after the show, Nicki posted a series of tweets directed at Self:
This altercation caused DJ Envy to tell all radio DJ’s especially in New York (her biggest U.S. demographic) to blackball Nicki Minaj and her music which he has admitted to doing. Funnily, billbord changed their rules to make radio account for a larger % of their chart algorithm.
“Tryna lay low don’t tempt me SLEEZE”

This picture speaks for itself.
“30 in the clip will be emptied SLEEZE”

Nicki uses the vernacular of the Makk Ballaz which is a Queens based gang in which her husband is apart of. Kenneth is a high ranking member. They are some of the most feared of all New York gangs so what Nicki says here is not a stretch.
“You bitches still my sons, learn your A’s and B’s”

This is another rendition of Nicki’s famous phrase “these bitches is my sons,” which stemmed from a 2010 response video to haters. The hate train is in reference to the media fueled campaign to try and erase Nicki’s legacy.
“I was in the court, no Jays and Beys, made her change her mind in the judge chamber SLEEZE”

In 2017, Meek Mill was sentenced to 4 years in prison due to a probation violation, stemming from having police contact after doing wheelies on a dirt bike in New York for a music video.
JAY-Z and Beyoncé were both widely supportive of Meek during his arrest, shouting him out on DJ Khaled’s 2018 song “Top Off.” JAY-Z himself said “Free Meek Mill” at a Philly concert and even paid Meek’s legal bills.
Nicki was a big supporter & was present during his legal proceedings & testified on his behalf in court. In April he was granted release by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on unsecured bail. Nicki notes she may have had something to do with his release as she even spoke with Obama
“The MAC’s on the line I ain’t talking about the PC”

Throughout her career, Minaj has teamed up with retail makeup giant MAC to create several products and lines. For example, in 2013, her first Viva Glam lipstick collab became the brand’s highest-selling Viva Glam product.
Subsequently, she announced another partnership with the brand in August 2017. Nicki also rapped about working with MAC on her 2018 song “Majesty”:

“The MAC movin' like crack, I’m sellin' powder now”

This can also be a nod to Nicki’s affiliation with the Makk Ballaz.
“I’m the biggest fish up in the pan, I’ll do you greasy”

On the original song, Meek Mill rapped:

“Bitch, I graduated, call me ‘Big Fish’”

Meek called himself “Lil Fish” on songs like 2017’s “Left Hollywood” and “1 Am” before elevating his status to “Big Fish” on “Going Bad.”
Nicki claims she’s a “bigger fish” than Meek, likely due to her accomplishments. For instance, she became the first female artist to have 100 Billboard Hot 100 hits, which she attained with her October 2018 song “Dip” featuring Tyga—it debuted at #83.
“All he gotta do is call, I'm in my T-shirt and my drawers. Face down, a*s up, I'm already on all fours. Suck his d*ck through his shorts then I ride him like a wh*re, I mean a horse, I'm a boss”

Wheewwww.
Throughout “Barbie Goin Bad,” Nicki makes several sexual allusions to Kenneth Petty—her husband now but boyfriend at the time. A fan joked on Twitter about how Nicki has sex with Kenneth six times a day, to which she clarified:
Nicki also expressed a desire to have sex multiple times a day on 2018’s “Barbie Dreams”:

“Man, I ain’t got no type like Jxmmi and Swae Lees. But if he can’t f*ck three times a night, peace!”
“Yeah I got the juice and I’m taking him on a tour”

In the weeks following this track’s release, Nicki would have started the European Leg of her tour with Juice WRLD (RIP) for her fourth studio album Queen.
She originally planned to tour with Future, but scheduling caused a change in plans. Back in December, both Nicki and Juice took to Instagram to announce the tour:
“Imitating Nicki while ya ghostwriter dissing me”

This seems to be a shot at Cardi B, who started feuding with Minaj in 2017. Some fans have accused Cardi of copying Nicki, citing lyrical similarities and copied outfits as proof.
In the year before this freestyle’s release, Minaj called out rappers who try to copy her, specifically on 2018’s “Ganja Burn” and “Woman Like Me,” a collaboration with British girl-group Little Mix. On “Ganja Burn,” she raps:

“You can’t wear a Nicki wig and then be Nicki”
Cardi is known to use ghostwriters & Minaj has mentioned it on several occasions. On Future’s track “Transformer,” Nicki compares an unnamed rival to Milli Vanilli, a duo that was exposed for lipsyncing a live performance. Nicki also tweeted that Cardi had never written a verse:
“Leave for two weeks, I got all of my babies missing me”

After posting a throwback photo on January 15, 2019, Nicki disappeared from social media & media for over two weeks, then came back to announce a fragrance, a music video for “Hard White,” & a new episode of Queen Radio.
“Never gon' fall, never not gon' ball
And I keep my nigga bustin' like a draco. He always come back, Big Draco. Still going bad on you stank hoes”

A “draco” is a semi-auto pistol. Busting means shooting but also doubles for ejaculation. Nicki keeps Ken coming back for more sex.
“Big Draco” is also a nickname for Soulja Boy. He first gained worldwide success with his 2007 hit “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” followed by a string of other hits, including 2008’s “Kiss Me Thru the Phone.”
Many thought Soulja had fell off, but in January 2019, he did an interview with The Breakfast Club which went viral, putting himself back in the spotlight.

Additionally, in a January 2019 tweet, Soulja claimed to have the biggest comeback of 2018:
