I get that voting is a fundamentally moral enterprise not a transactional one but i honestly can't think of any other product that is effectively sold to people with shame and extortion rather than explaining WHY their product is good.
setting aside the ethics of voting and not voting, if your goal is to sincerely win over skeptical progressives or nonvoters shaming is historically not an effective tactic. Just as a matter of pragmatism starting from a place of "how can we excite people" ought to be step one!
