THE MANNERS OF A SCHOLAR.

I remember sitting in a lesson of Shaykh Sulaymaan Ar-Ruhaylee and as the lesson ended and The Iqamah was being done. I stood up for Salah and looked to my right to see Shaykh Falah praying beside me. After the Salaah the lesson was being continued..
I carefully assessed Shaykh Falah (in an attempt to learn from his manners and his worship) and as I lowkey assessed I realised that the Shaykh brought his book and pen out and began taking notes. Let me just put this into context..
Shaykh Sulaymān mentions: ”And if you (people of Kuwait) didn't have anyone (of knowledge) except Shaykh Falāh Ismael then you’d be sufficed.”
”Shaykh Falāh, I knew of him whilst I was still a student at the university and he was already a scholar.”
Shaykh Falāh is considered the Father of the scholars, du’aat and students of knowledge in Kuwait yet his lofty position didn't cease him from displaying humility for knowledge.
He sat through the whole lesson until late night and stayed behind later revising his notes.
The lesson I learnt that day! đŸ™ŒđŸŸ

- This picture wasn't captured by me, I was too shy to be pulling out my phone like that, but I’m glad someone did.
I hope no-one misunderstands that i studied rigorously under Shaykh Sulaymān, rather this was a 8/9 day intensive course thats hosted twice a year in Kuwait that allah blessed me with experiencing alhamdulilah
Which i suppose is another lesson to take away from this - for those microwave knowledge critiques - yes you’re not going to gather the oceans of knowledge overnight but small opportunities like this can have a lifelong impact on you.
As students out here in the west, one thing we lack on (amongst many)- except for whom allah has mercy on - is manners. Travel, immerse yourself in the gatherings of the scholars, thereupon analyse, assess take notes and learn from there manners. Its what drove me from LHR to KWI
WALLAHI IN HUMILITY YOU WILL RISE

WALLAHI IN HAUGHTINESS YOU WILL FALL
