The coronavirus party video was posted the same week Liberty University allowed students to return to campus from spring break despite the warnings of health care officials.

The private, anonymous Instagram account, The_Liberty_Way, is followed by Jerry Falwell, Jr. and family.

The_Liberty_Way posts memes and comments on the culture of Liberty University. Posted themes include drinking, campus pranks, and dating.

Is it surprising that Jerry Falwell, Jr would follow the account given his campus fines and punishes students for these sort of activities?

More recently the private account Jerry Falwell, Jr. and his family members have been following has been posting memes downplaying and joking about the coronavirus pandemic.

The account The_Liberty_Way, followed by Jerry Falwell, Jr., has also referred to the #coronavirus as the “Wuhan Virus,” and the “China virus” adding to the stigmatization of Asian-Americans.

The account also defends Jerry Falwell, Jr. from criticism and laments that some parents are making students return home from the Liberty University because of the #coronavirus.

Recently, Jerry Falwell, Jr. posted videos of himself hanging out outdoors and riding horses in a large group with some Liberty University folks and the wide receiver coach of the football team.

Hopefully they were all practicing social distancing.

Meanwhile, on campus, Liberty University students are ignoring the social distancing warning stickers placed on furniture and hanging out in groups, making group videos, and building furniture forts. There was even one called “club quarantine.”
