Todoroki’s not having a good day. No, he doesn’t want to talk about it - it’s apparent in the line of his mouth, the squint in his eyes and the tension in his shoulders. He’s the type to silently suffer.

It irritates Bakugou to no end. If only Todoroki could talk to him! But of course, Bakugou’s shit at handling feelings anyway… he needs to try something else.

“IcyHot, gimme your phone.”

Todoroki’s glare is devoid of the usual fight but still holds some weight. “What for?” He’s suspicious ever since Bakugou changed his background to a screenshot of his page then deleted his icons.

“I wanna show you something.” When that doesn’t get him a reaction, Bakugou relents. “You’re going to like it. Let me show you.”

Todoroki hands him the phone and watches on with interest as Bakugou downloads a game for him.

“What is it?”

“Wait a moment, it’s still loading.” Bakugou sees he’s piqued Todoroki’s interest when the cheery theme song starts playing.

“Bakugou, what is this?” Todoroki is suddenly deep inside his personal bubble, leaning over him to look at his phone.

“It’s called Neko Atsume. This is your yard where you can leave out food.” Bakugou gives him back the phone and points at the corner of the screen. “Try it.”

When Snowball, the first cat shows up, Todoroki’s face lights up. “Oh.”

“And you can put out toys for the cats.”

Todoroki’s mood improves considerably as his yard gradually fils up with more and more cats. He never fails to announce a newcomer to Bakugou who sits there and pretends to be annoyed by this.

“You’re like Peaches,” announces Todoroki.

Bakugou splutters, feigning offence. “In what way?”

“You’re also capricious.”

Bakugou snorts and rolls his eyes. He doesn’t miss the way Todoroki’s mouth curls upwards. He does his best to disregard the way his chest warms up from seeing that, however.
