I've said it before and I'll say it again...

The breath is essential to all life, so ACT LIKE IT.

Begin this grounding practice daily for the duration of quarantine or preferably longer if you decide it a beneficial addition to your daily routine.
1.) Visualize yourself rooted into the Earth at least 2 ft. deep at all times. Sounds simple enough, but maintain this practice to sharpen your mind, will, and energetic awareness. When you are standing, root from feet down. If laying or sitting, root from root chakra down.
2.) Bonus points: do this with your bare feet/soles to the direct Earth outside if you are able to with fresh air and direct sunlight on the skin. 15 minutes minimum.
You will notice significantly more impact if you connect hands with tree or another plant to cycle energy with tree in elliptical motion. Deeper roots, the better.
3.) Now, full exhale through mouth until lungs emptied. Inhale deep yet naturally through mouth into stomach, inhale deep yet naturally once more through mouth in chest, exhale through mouth fully.

Focus solely on the breath, ignore any sensations and thoughts that arise.
Ignore dry mouth. Breathe for 7 min. Another 7 min. cycle if you feel necessary. Continuing rooting yourself with focus on breath.
4.) Allow yourself 5-15 min. quiet time to return back to normal consciousness. Gently bring motion back into fingers, toes, feet, hands, arms, legs, etc. to allow blood flow.
5.) ???
6.) Profit. You have successfully reset your vagus nerve.

You may notice altered conscious states, this is okay. You are okay. If any emotions arise, feel them. Cry, scream into pillow if you need to. Journal if necessary. Acknowledge them and let them pass with each exhale.
There is a lot of deep emotion and potentially even trauma arising in the collective consciousness at this time. It's okay to be anxious, stressed, concerned, worried, afraid. Acknowledge and let it pass. Observe the emotion, but don't allow it to consume you.
You are not alone in how you may feel at times, trust me. This is a wild time for everyone. Human beings are capable of most everything so long as they work together.
Have some magnesium (topical magnesium chloride is EXCELLENT in this situation) and/or blue lotus tea after all is said and done.
