Not everyone has a lot of time. It is a blessing - because of work that could go online, because of organizations not decimated by this pandemic. It is a blessing to have work and income. But it also means that this notion that "everyone has time on their hands" is ... not true.

It will be helpful if we just remember that while this is an experience that is hitting the entire world simultaneously, it is not hitting the entire world identically. For some, that means things are easier. For some, that means things are much much worse.

We will all respond differently to this experience that is unlike anything in human memory. And the gaps between how we respond must be tolerated and accepted.

Not everyone has a lot of time.
Some people have less of it than they used to.
Let's be gentler with each other.

Let's be gentler with ourselves.
