Im rewatching some MHA clip on YouTube & noticed that AM was clinching to his wound in S1E2 the same way he did in S4E25. So I thought it was a nice callback but then I started thinking more about the two similarities were between these 2 moments

And it just clicked that in both of these moments, he was feeling powerless. All Might has some of the strongest sense of justice in the story. The guy would always jump into action, and just like the sludge villain incident, watching Endeavor vs High-End made him feel powerless-

Because he couldn’t jump into action. He was forced to just sit there & watch. So when you think about his expression at the end, while it could be interpreted as relief, it could also be him finally arriving to the conclusion that from now on it’s gonna be like this every time-

Huge moments of stress because chaos is happening and he can’t act. Which makes the imminent fall of hero society with current arc even more depressing, especially if he survive to see the chaos.
