First experiences with the #COVID19 #AntibodyTest - here is what we found:

ATTENTION: right after the infection the test will still be negative even though one has #COVID19

Observation 2: The "Super-spreader".
IgM-antibodies remain elevated. This could mean that the patient remains infectious even though symptoms have vanished.

Observation 3: Positive #AntibodyTest without #COVID19 infection.
Archival serum from patients before the #COVID19
#pandemic was tested. About 20% were positive.
Thus the test is not very specific. Previous corona virus infections (common cold) may falsely suggest immunity!

Observation 4: IgA-antibody test were not specific for #COVID19 infection.
Many companies offer #AntibodyTest - The above examples illustrate why rigorous testing is absolutely mandatory, before we can rely on the results. We need a robust test to take the bull by the horns! Lots that need to be improved. Let's do this!
