On a personal note, I think it’s worth asking: How do you learn what’s going on in your community, state, etc.?

It may be social media, your neighbor or partner.

But that info came from somewhere. And I bet a lot of it tracks back to your local media outlets.
Many outlets put their work out there for free. But it’s not free to produce.

Subscriptions help finance the work that journalists do to keep you informed. Now — and always.
So if you value the work we’re doing here at The @Oregonian — our top-notch coronavirus coverage, newsletters, podcasts, videos, etc. — please consider subscribing. Here’s that link again:

If you don’t live in Oregon or follow the news here, please consider subscribing to a news outlet in your community.

I'm sure your local journalists would appreciate your support.

Thank you.
