We must center racial equity in the response design/implementation. Structural racism results in POC being disproportionately poor & rent burdened. Black & Native people are disproportionately homeless. Black people are disproportionately dying from COVID-19.
Lower income renters are disproportionately POC. Higher income renters are mostly white. Let’s keep this in mind when designing solutions and be sure that we don’t exacerbate racial inequities but instead correct them.
