Political leaders have made a mistake in offering no positive message to faith communities. Business leaders get Rose Garden ceremonies, while faith communities (who are actively serving regardless) are only hearing from politicians about what they should not & cannot do.

I remain proud of the work we did in the Obama Administration, from the earliest days of awareness concerning H1N1, to actively invite the faith community to be partners in combating that virus.

In other words, "don't hold services" should be under the broader banner of "faith communities are vital to helping this nation during this time"
