So I have painful EDS but I also have persistent exquisitely painful issues with my anus. I can't go out because of covid-19 n I can't find or afford most necessary items anyway so I've created a medical amazon wishlist and please consider donating/sharing https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/HF7QBANG5EO3?ref_=wl_share
Just to put this into context: I have three persistent tears in my anus. When I say persistent I mean I've had them for almost F O U R years. I've seen numerous doctors and no treatment so far has worked, primarily because I have EDS and I cannot heal. I'm on the waiting list 2/7
Surgical treatment but because of covid-19 this is going to be even more delayed than it already was through the NHS. I try to stay clear of laxatives for the most part because they react extremely badly with my digestive system but sometimes the stomach pain they give me is 3/7
Fair easier to deal with than the unimaginable pain my anal fissures give me. Now I'm fairly good with pain, I'm in a lot of pain a lot of the time so when I tell you that this is the most painful thing I've ever experienced, please believe me it's had competition. 4/7
I'm talking pain so bad that I'm overheating, crying, near screaming and clenching my hands together SO HARD that my left hand gets bruised. And that is just when going to the toilet. If you've had persistent anal fissures, you'll know that when they get so bad 5/7
Your anus will then spasm for some time after. This, for me, will usually last upwards of eight hours. Eight hours of pulsing, burning pain. That is eight hours until I manage to fall asleep. As I said, because EDS impacts my ability to heal, the usual pain of anal fissures 6/7
Is magnified by the constant re-tearing of barely healed skin. Going to the toilet is not something that I can control or stop doing and it's such a traumatic experience now that I dread it every single day. So yeah... That's the story of my anus. Thank you and goodnight. 7/7
