No, Trump and Biden aren't the same person.

Biden will listen to experts, uphold the climate agreement and maintain democratic norms. There will be an "after Biden" and he's committed to only term.

Not that I have any faith that we'll all be able to vote. But for those who can
But the reality is, Trump is not planning to leave. That's why it was so essential that he NEVER win, that first time.

So I don't know how much any of this will matter.
I'm not happy with this, but I do think we have some duty to the rest of the world to at least vote for someone who will listen to climate science.
And I do know he was not even a leader on that among the rest of the candidates.
If the centrists had to do this, had to close ranks around anyone...

I think Booker or Harris would have been much wiser choices. I don't think this is even a controversial thing to say.
Also, I think y'all should stop with the dementia/Alzheimers claims about Biden.

It's mean. Stick to policy.
Anyway, I'm currently resisting the urge to text my mother, a Biden voter:

"Hope you're happy. I will not get to vote in a primary this year."
I'm kinda mad about that. There were MANY options left when she got to vote.
Other differences:

Everyone knows Hunter is the black sheep, and I can't see him being groomed for political office as is happening with Ivanka. There won't be a political dynasty here.
I think this may be our last chance to get rid of the Trumps, and...

I'm not even convinced we'll have that. He might cancel elections. He could do anything. What are people prepared to do?
Honestly, Covid-19 is everything Trump might have hoped for in an excuse to, say, cancel elections or declare marshall law.
And SCOTUS would let him do it.
Trump is a figure like Robert E. Lee or Andrew Jackson, an eliminationist.

If it's more helpful to the 21st century mind, he's potentially a Hitler. He's been building an infrastructure for genocide since he took office. Yes, he's uniquely dangerous.
And the legacy of every Democratic leader of our lifetimes will be that they slept on the dangers this posed out of a pollyannish commitment to unity.
Every last one of them except possibly some of the new congresswomen.

Even Bernie and Warren wanted to work with Trump on infrastructure immediately after he got elected.
They slept on the dangers and forced us to decide between a deeply problematic candidate and the end of the fucking world.
I hope things don't have to get a lot more apocalyptic than they currently are.
As I've said many times before now, this thread is for the white people, who are always the problem when it comes to voting.
