U23 Attacking Midfielders

This time I collected the most promising AM's from Europe's 5 big leagues.

Filters:
- Age: 16-23
- min 950 minutes played
- AM position

After the 5 charts, I also added a scoresheet to rank the players. The 5 best will be announced in the end!
In the first chart I looked at shooting volume and quality. Baumgartner beats everyone else by a mile.

The graph below represents the key passing ability.
Again, I measured both quality and quantity:
Key passes per 90 / Expected Assists per 90
Dribbling

This position is a creative one, dribbles and 1 on 1 duels in the final third are essential.

Our players work with a high volume, expect Spalek. His numbers are surprising, seems like he hardly ever takes the risk of dribbling.

Not like Kamada, who wins this chart!
Passing

We already examined key-passing, but I wanted to take a look at passing in general too. I used passing accuracy mixed with passes to penalty area, so the players who take higher risk will stand out.

Odegaard and Pellegrini are in their own world.
Output

For this graph I used non-penalty goals per 90 and Assists per 90. This way we will see how efficient these players are in terms of end product.

Adli from Bordeaux looks exciting, and Pellegrini is an assist machine.
Scoresheet

my scoring system looked like this:
below average: 0
slightly above average: 1
in-between slightly above and being significantly above average: 2
above everyone else: 3

And now let's announce the winners!
🇮🇹 Lorenzo Pellegrini - AS Roma (23)

Pellegrini is having the season of his life! He is an elite playmaker but I feel like people still don't rate him high enough. The Italian arrived from Sassuolo in 2017 and evolved into one of the most improtant assets of Roma.

MV: €32.00
🇦🇹 Christoph Baumgartner - Hoffenheim (20)

The biggest surprise in the list! Baumgartner ranks second, mainly because of his shooting/finishing ability. He was called up to Hoffenheim's first team in 2019, and these stats after just 995 mins are very promising!

MV: €5.40m
🇩🇪 Kai Havertz - Bayer Leverkusen (20)

You simply can't make a list like this without Kai Haverzt! The fact that he already played 8300+ minutes and scored 30 goals (!) in Bundesliga despite being 20 y.o. is actually scary. The future of German football!

MV: €81.00m
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 James Maddison - Leicester City (23)

Maddison started the season in crazy form and looked to be a potential starter for England at the Euros. Since that his performance dropped a bit but the stats are still there putting him into the best young AMs in the world!

MV: €48.00m
🇳🇴 Martin Ødegaard - Real Sociedad / Real Madrid (21)

Ødegaard joinded Madrid back in 2015 and was one of the most hyped youngster ever. People doubted him after failing to break into the first squad in his teenage years but his spell at Sociedad proves his talent!

MV: €45.00m
Honorable Mentions:

🇩🇪 Nadiem Amiri - Bayer Leverkusen (23)
🇲🇦 Yassine Benrahou - Nimes / Bordeaux (21)
🇲🇦 Amine Harit - Schalke 04 (22)
🇨🇮 Hamed Junior Traoré - Sassuolo / Empoli (20)
