A short story about the @BernieSanders campaign I wanna share.

Before Super Tue, the campaign was planning an Oklahoma rally w/ Jane Sanders. They could’ve held it in OKC or Tulsa—metro areas w/ ~1 mil ppl.

But instead, they came to my town, Tahlequah with a pop of 16,000.
Before the rally, @janeosanders spent an hour meeting with community members. Not big donors, not local politicians, but teachers, college students, parents, a local DV advocate, and other Native and Cherokee folks to hear what we needed from a president.
The rally itself was packed and on fire. In a rural community, in a deeply, deeply red state, people were ready for the policies that the Sanders campaign stood for.

We still are. And the fight for the things that we know our communities need is far from over.
