Something I often see is folks frustrated by a movie being available in one country but not in others. Distribution territories can be very murky. Take, for example, all the companies involved in distributing SCREAM:
Distribution sales are a big way that filmmakers can recoup money but some territories simply have no interest in certain kinds of titles. For example, some countries have very strict restrictions on what can and can't be shown on screen.
It could be moral, it could be ethical, it could be whatever. Additionally, some countries and their residents have specific interests, ones that don't match a film and its content. Some countries see a better ROI on supernatural horror while others love slashers.
Sometimes, these deals can take months if not years. Not every movie is guaranteed to have worldwide appeal. Not every movie is meant for all audiences. As a result, some movies will never get released in certain countries. It's a shame but it's the reality behind the machine.
Such is one of the realities of the film industry.

Anyways, not sure why I made this thread. Enjoy the rest of your day.
