can't even share a fucking article on facebook and say "hey i'm not voting for either of these rapists" without being fucking swarmed. let's be v clear about something: i've considered how the most vulnerable people will be affected by this. i've seen it for months/years now.

and what those people have said, consistently, is that four years of Biden is actively no better for them. he has shown zero desire to help those people in any meaningful way. those voices, for MONTHS, begged you to support the progressive candidate(s). to fight for them.

and now here we are, those same voices now telling you that they cannot in good conscience support this nominee. and what, suddenly their voices don't matter? the voices of the marginalized are not a monolith. you can't just pretend that this is the only moral choice now.

if you want to even have a chance of winning these people back, then go fucking PROVE IT. aggressively push on Biden to move further left. refuse to compromise with him. LISTEN to the voices telling you how Biden will not help them and go fucking fight for them.

but don't sit here and scold these people for "not caring about the most vulnerable people." they ARE the most vulnerable people. they have told you what they need and were roundly dismissed. why SHOULD they vote for Biden when no matter who they choose, they are hurt?

additionally, these are the same voices who were dismissed as "b*rnie br*s" (*s to avoid potential rando accounts) when they made their criticisms of other candidates clear months ago. dismissed as white misogynistic men, in part by Biden's campaign. why would they help you now?

to most of the most vulnerable people, there is no moral choice. there is only whether they want someone who will hurt them, or someone who will hurt them but be nice about it. if that truly isn't the case, it's your job to prove it. it's not their job to roll over and take it.

Addendum: in this thread i've intentionally left myself out of the "most vulnerable people" grouping because, while being nonbinary and gay, i am still white and male-passing. the people i refer to in this thread are queer, disabled, PoC, and every combo therein.

this does not mean i am not affected by this. i am not financially stable. i am in a profession where contractual labor abuse is rampant. i am NB/gay. my family isn't wealthy. obviously these pale in comparison, but i'm weighing the harm to myself too here.

additionally, there's one person i know is probably reading this who was in the FB thread and i want to state now: i'm not trying to subtweet or yell down at you, i respect the hell out of you and always have, but i wanted to respond to the broader argument here.

but it's definitely going to come across as both of those things and i'm sorry in advance for that, i definitely do not intend it that way. i know you mean well and i understand where you're coming from, but we can't afford to ignore this point if we are to actually win in nov.
