We don't need to pretend people aren't driven by moral foundations that bias them in order to respond to their arguments rather than telling them what you think their biases are. So, if you think somebody's "loyalty" moral foundation underlies their opposition to immigration, you should still engage with their argument against immigration on its own terms rather than telling them you think this, but you can use it to frame your response persuasively.
