@BillWhittle=A Voice of REASON

So of course HE HAS TO PAY!!!

His video from last night is a Testament to Logic in

navigating an EVENT.

I need to catch people up on MODELS being discussed

as too many are swallowing BULLSHIT NARRATIVES Whole.
The Models are NOT PREDICTIVE.

Yet EVERYONE acts & talks as if that's their purpose.

Which means they're adopting a position on something

they're UNINFORMED about.

They are COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTANDING the PURPOSE OF MODELS.
From the minute the Model is presented to the responsible & committed Parties they begin to move HEAVEN & EARTH to turn that Model INTO A LIE.
The 2 Millions dead was what we'd be looking at WITHOUT
Social Distancing & Travel Restrictions.
Trump's moves are UNPRECEDENTED.
If I'd been California State Governor & you'd come to me with concerns about the St. Francis Dam in 1927 I'd call or summon it's Architect & Chief Engineer & asked for a rundown, worst case scenario & a MODEL of the Dam & possible ways to repair/strengthen it.
William Mulholland was the Architect was a GREAT MAN.
A GIANT among men. A Pillar. A Doer. A Visionary who helped build Modern California.
His St. Francis Dam was built using nearby schist rock from Canyon Walls & was rather UNSUITABLE.
However it was nearby, cheap & plentiful
Mulholland was having legal trouble, you see, bringing much needed water to Los Angeles had required him to re channel & deprive Farmers their much needed water.
A bitterness that sometimes crosses into violent action remains to this day.

Mulholland was fighting to get a new type of Dam built & defeat his detractors in Court.
The St. Francis Dam was completed in 1926.
Immediately there were problems.
Mulholland said later he's built too high & with materials unsuited to the task.
This was after the collapse.
A few days before the collapse of March 12, 1928 the Water was only THREE INCHES below the top lip of the Dam.
The pressure was too much.
At 6 PM on March 11th a crack was observed 2/3rds up & water was streaming down.
Today, there's NO QUESTION what would happen next
It WASN'T Today.
The Chief Engineer was summoned. As he inspected the crack, someone called the Police & Fire Chiefs of nearby Towns of Castaic & Fillmore.
They showed up in a panic.
Mulholland arrived.
The men gathered around him asking whether they should evacuate the Valley
Mulholland, reportedly in his Nightshirt, puffing a Cigar, walked about the top of the Dam, occasionally stopping to look down.
It was 9 PM by the time he rounded back to the anxious Crowd.
"Come now, go Home, it will be alright. We'll address this in the morning."
The Mayors, Cops & Firemen all heaved a sigh of relief!
THE GREAT MAN had spoken!
HE built the Dam (that was springing leaks by the HOUR AT THAT POINT)
& They all piled into their Cars, drove Home & went to bed.

3 Hours later the St Francis Dam collapsed.
Mulholland, THE GREAT MAN, was in a bind.
If he admitted his Dam was flawed in design or in it's construction his detractors would eviscerate him in Court.
So he "Whistled past the Graveyard" & anywhere from 400-600 Californians died that night.
The Era of GREAT MEN died with them.
The Valley & it's 4 Towns should have been evacuated.
Instead, City Fathers allowed their COMMON SENSE to be overridden by a man under incredible pressure who made the wrong call for PERSONAL reasons.
Mullholland died a broken man.
One of my favorite shows in the History Channel's MODERN MARVELS: ENGINEERING DISASTERS.
I watch it for the same reason I watch Gunfights caught on Camera=to LEARN correct methods & to discard the incorrect.
Today the decision would NEVER have left up to Mulholland.
The Evacuation of the Towns in that Valley would have been AUTOMATIC.
Yet people will always find a way to screw up.
Weather Experts coupled with City Planners looked at Katrina headed towards New Orleans & said GET OUT!
US Army Corps of Engineers KNEW flooding would kill 100's. They'd been tasked with shoring up the Levees but work had been delayed, funding squandered for over a decade.
Now it was too late.
Mayor Ray Nagin dithered & complained as the Gov. hated on Bush.
100's did die USELESSLY
Now OSHA & others institutions have taken the place of the GREAT MEN.
But they are only as competent & capable as the people that staff them. The HUMAN ELEMENT remains.
& Murphy is always just around the corner....
Mulholland had KNOWN for at least a year prior to the Disaster that his Dam was failing.
HE REFUSED TO ADMIT IT.
There WAS no phone call to the State Governor or anyone else.
The Buck stopped with him.
He was ALLOWED to call the shots.
Those days are now long gone.
President Trump, looking at an approaching Pandemic instinctively knew he had to "evacuate" our Economy REGARDLESS of the cost personal or National.
As I've said, the Economy can be rebuilt, he can't bring people back to life.
Mulholland failed.
President Trump hasn't!
Keep Flying straight, @BillWhittle.

Your instincts on this are 5 x 5.

Trump erred on the side of LIFE & we are going to come

ROARING back!

To the Chinese it will look like THIS=
