To anyone who needs to hear it: You're no longer the person who was made to feel like they're not enough. At some point, probably when you were a kid, someone important to you didn't love you in a way that they should have for whatever reason.
Over time that's made you feel like you're not enough. That anyone who compliments you doesn't know what they're talking about, that those who speak ill of you are in the know, because that person or people when you were young wasn't there for you emotionally.
But you've continued to grow since then. You've made friendships, you have good coworkers, maybe even married into another family and started your own. You've accomplished things, big and small. You've learned more about the world and your place in it.
It hurts, what happened when you were younger and it's okay to let it hurt. But you're also free to stop letting it have power over you. You're who you are now and not who you were then, and even then it wasn't your fault. You're pretty great actually.
Look at how far you've come and the best things are still coming up. You're worth it and you're definitely good enough for every great thing and all of the love coming your way.
