So @_the_B_word_ and I were DM& #39;ing about social media work, & we thought it would be fun to do a joint thread on social media marketing hacks/tips!

We both run social media and work as creative directors, and we& #39;ve gotten very good at making that dollar work for us! Let& #39;s go!
Tip #1: While I love using social media scheduling and planning tools, Instagram and Facebook "ding" you and limit your reach when you do this, hurting organic reach. I schedule directly on FB Publisher and post to the IG app directly.
Tip #2: If you have a small budget for photo content creation, utilize "Customer Generated Content" or CGC. Gift product to aspiring photographers, hold a contest where customers post photos to social to incentivize the creation of CGC! Include usage rights in the terms!
Tip #3: GET FOUNDERS ON TWITTER

Ppl want to see brand leaders/founders on social media. This means having them show up on IG Story at least 1x per week, write posts for LinkedIn (2x per week), etc. Leverage the "myth of the founder" to get more press and FREEEEE eyeballs! <3
Tip #4: PINTEREST PINTEREST PINTEREST

Pinterest is an INSANE driver of blog traffic and sales for ecom biz. Ppl use it to find SOLUTIONS and things to BUY. @TailwindApp to schedule pins at $15/mo is worth the investment.

Tip #5: Use UTM codes + http://bit.ly"> http://bit.ly  to track what type of content does best on each social platform, and also what content CONVERTS sales. You can make a unique code for every time you post. This is one of the best ways to quantitatively prove the value of SMM.
