I get a kick whenever I hear guys praising this corner of Twitter.

Like it’s special.

I may have felt like that back in 2015 but after digging deeper.

I’m here to tell you it’s not.

I’m not as special as I think.

You’re not as special as you think.
The mimicry marketing is in full effect.

The herd mentality on here is stronger than ever.

Feeding each others psychological complexes. Everyone shouting into the same echoe chamber at the same time.
NPC’s calling other people NPC’s not realizing they are too, just in a different game.

Sad to see kids lost in it, so easily influenced.

Don’t agree with me?

Just look up Michael Porfirio’s Page.
Majority of the population gravitates towards original thinking and become destined to replicate those patterns.

It’s the way we are wired as humans, for survival.

Caveman discovers fire, other caveman watch, then make fire.
It’s no different than the monkey see monkey do gurus.

There’s maybe a handful of original thinkers at best.

So why this thread?

It’s because I noticed that not all the original thinkers have the herd’s best interest in mind.

So the least I can do is sober some of you up.
Here’s the fact.

IQ and originality/creativity are not linearly correlated.

Just because this space is filled with hyper-intelligent guys doesn’t mean it’s filled with original thought.

In fact, studies would even suggest otherwise.
Now for the learning portion.

Thinking patterns.

Intelligence is how well you can systemize patterns.

Creativity is how well you create patterns.

Originality is how well you can break patterns.
We’ve all heard of the anaologies between crazy and genius.

This phrase is usually used as an inference to describe someone’s creativity/originality not actual intelligence.
Creativity and Originality is the ability to simultaneously hold opposing thoughts.

Think bi-polarism or schizophrenia.
And just like there are levels to crazy or severity of symptoms.

There’s levels to creativity/originality.

For example purposes, because we are talking about these traits in highly intelligent people.

We will use chess players to help us determine the standard deviation.
Competitive chess is a phenominal test of intelligence, creativity, and at higher levels. Pure originality.

We will be pairing different player levels to axis’s that represent the amount of different thinking patterns can be held on same plane. (time)
Axis’s are a mathematical tool and in epistemology axis’s are used to graph methodologies or mental frameworks.

Now here’s the link for you guys to follow along.

http://www.uschess.org/archive/ratings/ratedist.php
“Around 800 million chess players in the world and only about 1500 of them are grandmasters. Hence, only about 0.3 % of all registered FIDE players” - Google
It is said that the:

- amateur players knows their next 1-3 chess moves. (X axis)

- pro players knows their next 4-5 chess moves. (X-Y axis)

- master players know their next 6-10 chess moves (X-Y-Z axis)

- grand master players know their next chess 10-15 moves (X-Y-Z-A)
Going back to our reference you can see the distribution between creativity/originality in ranked chess players.

And 800 million people is a large enough sample size that makes this correlation hard to dispute the levels of standard deviation throughout regular population.
This means AT BEST there’a only a few of original thinkers on here.

And only a slightly bigger handful are creative thinkers.

Regardless of how much everyone on here like to express their superiority complex over the “normies”

They ARE the normies.
