I want to put this out again to Bernie supporters, organizers, volunteers, etc.

Some of you are close friends of mine.

To you and to everyone else who I don’t know: please come build with other progressives, those who didn’t support Bernie in this primary or in 2016.

I’m not asking you to build with centrists or limousine liberals.

I’m not asking you to build with suburban NIMBY liberals.

(Though I feel I MUST interject here that not every suburban white person fits the bill!!)

I’m asking you to built with other progressives.

I’m not asking you to love Joe Biden.

I’m not asking you to think he’s the best candidate in this primary field.

I WILL however ask you to knock on doors for him and make calls and send texts and turn out in droves at the polls.

I deeply feel your pain.

You have to believe me when I say that I understand what it’s like to work for something you believe in, to give it everything you’ve got, and then to be bitterly disappointed.

I get it.

But you cannot let this moment be used to divide us.
