as someone who went all in on bernie in 2016, here’s my unsolicited advice:
your heart and your desire for a better world is worthy — but your work and your passion was exploited by a corporate electoral system. take some time to mourn.
but bounce back. your community needs it.

if you haven’t already, pivot and invest your energy in your state and community.
our electoral system is a sham, and it won’t save us. this is by design.
but you can begin the critical work of harm reduction for your community.
grow where you are planted.

what part of bernie’s platform were you most passionate and fired up about? take some time and figure out how you can apply that passion to your state and local government. to marginalized groups in your community. to your neighbors. your coworkers.

remember what angela davis says: “we must be willing to embrace the long walk toward freedom.” and that in the collective, we find our hope.
