Okay, Alpha Bravo Charlie. I'm about halfway through it, episode 7/14, and I'm blown away. The show is intelligent, ambitious and funny. There has not been any crying whatsoever. Hard to believe that the trash we see today evolved from this.

The female protagonist is a Cambridge educated girl who teaches special children. Independent by all means. Has a car, drives. Has a career she loves. Has male friends, who come over at her place. Makes the decision regarding her marriage herself. Gets along great with family.
