Absolutely! I’ve been a closely connected outsider to the system for 15 years assessing children and teens with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Depression, Anxiety and PTSD. I was an insider to the system for 5 years as a school psychologist. Unions, administrators 1/2

2/2... parents, EAs, teachers, & government need to work together to allow much, much greater flexibility for EAs to have continuity 2 work with our most vulnerable students who rely on slowly built trust and rapport to ground them & make them feel safe enough to learn 2/3

3/3 Consistent connection is vital for learning and for thriving! ALSO bloody well pay our talented and caring EAs for 40 hours a week (not 27.5 hrs) so they don’t have to have 2 or 3 jobs. Pay them per kms too so they can actually afford to drive 2 shifts in remote schools!
