Quarantine personal sports moment of significance. In my younger days the Kansas City Kansan held it down for KCK high school sports. Nick Sloan later did a great job with the Kansan then KCK Preps to highlight these athletes. It was important because at the time the other

local media outlets ignored the area. Another friend came along KCK Preps to help and I ended up getting involved. The guy David eventually started SHUKC. If I remember it started as doing highlights for kids to help get them in the hands of college coaches. This lead to workouts

which then developed into weekly high school games of the week for football and basketball. Other things that came out of this non profit for the athletes of KCK were football then basketball year end award shows, basketball all-star game, football games being shown on tv,

radio show on local espn station that focused on local kids & coaches, podcast, media days for football and basketball, scholarships & sure some things I’m missing. Salute to Nick then to David for putting on for the young people of KCK, Basehor, Lansing, Tonganoxie, Bonner, &

Atchison, & Mill Valley and giving them an outlet. Lot of personal investment with time and money for the community.
