It was the honor of a lifetime to work for Bernie Sanders, someone whose empathy, compassion, and determination to address human suffering is inspiring and unparalleled. He awakened a nation to the fact that we all must be demanding much more to have the just world we deserve.
We didn’t win what we came for, but we won the battle for the future. Our campaign revealed a generational split. The future rests with Bernie’s vision, ideas and platform. And those of us who believe in it still have much work to do, and it will get done!
I tried to run the campaign with the integrity that marks Bernie. It wasn’t perfect, but we should be proud of it. The staff throughout all levels were talented, mission-driven people who often came to this from deep lived experiences. It was a privilege everyday to lead them.
Our volunteers, donors and supporters made this campaign historic. We rode on your strong shoulders, and you took us on one hell of an amazing journey. Thank you! We’ll all look back with great pride to have been part of this together. #NotMeUs
