"I just want to use this platform to say thank you to everyone that's out there that's keeping our country safe. I grew up in NYC and so I can't be more grateful for people out there on the front lines."
"It was obviously a really hard decision. At the end of the day I really enjoyed getting to know Cam. We thought in the end that it was best for our team to move forward. I know he will play great elsewhere. We think Teddy will do a great job for us."
"To me it was what was the best decision going forward (with Teddy Bridgwater). Teddy's relationship and connection with Joe (Brady)," was also a big factor in signing Teddy per Rhule.
Rhule said it wasn't a fit issue with Cam, "he can play great in any system."

Matt Rhule said one good thing about being at home is being able to watch extra film for evaluating draft prospects - something they wouldn't be able to do as much if they weren't quarantining.
Matt Rhule says agreed they did load up in FA on offense but said they could still draft offensive players in the draft. He said they will draft best available.
Rhule says Christian McCaffrey is a centerpiece.
He also said the reason why he brought Joe Brady on the staff as OC is bc he isn't an old school guy who molds players to his system - he will get and utilize the strengths of every player on the offense.

Rhule said PJ Walker had 7 other teams reach out to him. Said P.J.'a girlfriend is a teacher in Charlotte and he already lived here. Said his Temple guys wanted to play for him and his coaching staff and they had other options (obviously). Shows the bonds they've built.
"Depth on the defensive side of the ball. I was really happy to get Justin Burris in FA, Al Holcomb was with him in the past and he has versatility to play nickel and safety. We thought him & Tre Boston were pivotal moves."
Rhule noted Burris was a guy they marked day 1 in FA

Matt Rhule said he thinks both Shaq Thompson and Tahir Whitehead can play all linebacker positions. He said he likes positionless football.
"My goal every year is to be a team in the hunt down the stretch. I can't say we can be that team now because I haven't been around the guys a lot but that's what I strive to do every year."
