Going to go wholly mask off for a moment and this is going to be entirely too dark for some of you, so I apologize in advance.

Bernie Sanders understands better than most any revolutionary, would-be or real, what's at stake here.

We of the now do not matter.
Countless have given their lives, many in vain, so we could be here now, and we are going to persist so that countless more can exist in a future we cannot know.

That is what we are here to do.

That is the goal. That is the work to be done.

The foremost duty is to outlast.
Countless before us have outlasted entire empires, religions, cultures, armies, the rise and fall of tyrants, privation we cannot fathom so that we can have the mere opportunity to provide a few for others.

And that is what we are going to do.

And we may well suffer for it.
In that work, we must find joy, we must find love, we must find meaning, and we must find the dearest bonds possible in one-another.

In doing so, we will find every victory imaginable.

But we may not be the generation that finds total victory.

We may yet!

But we may not.
Unknowable lives have not been sacrificed so that we could be here today so a generational struggle could be lost for the sake of petty pride and personal politics. That is not what we are here to do.

We are here to keep the garden alive and hunt that which hunts us.

That's it.
If our wandering in the wilderness and our toiling in the garden we have carved out in it provides opportunities to do more then surely we must leap at every opportunity we get, of course.

But we cannot sacrifice our core work for those opportunities.
Welcome, Judean, to the fall of Rome.

This is not a revolution.

It is an apocalypse.

And whether this is the end of the world or the unveiling of a new one is up to all of us and I pray you have the compassion and love for people you cannot know to see to it is the latter.
