Serious point:

While Sanders and Biden differ on issues and their voting bases differ ideologically, an even bigger divide is that Bernie voters have lower levels of social trust and confidence in institutions, something Trump is poised to exploit.

Biden’s strength is an overall more popular set of issue positions than Bernie’s.

But even though his very strongly pro-system message + black support carried the primary, in a general election he needs to appeal more to paranoid low-trust people system-skeptical people.

Something I would recommend to establishment Democrats is that they call up @BobShrum and talk a little bit about how Al Gore & John Kerry did well with non-religious non-college whites in the midwest.

They had a rhetorical mode the post-Obama party has lost.
