I think vote by mail is my favorite upgrade about moving to Oregon. I used to miss elections for work, class, etc, couldn’t get my shit together to request absentee. Life is full! The past 7 years I’ve had my ballot and info top of mind for weeks, and haven’t missed one vote.

Vote by mail removes barriers, of which there are countless, to being a more involved and engaged citizen. Parents of young kids, scattered or overworked folks, students away from home...It’s archaic to stand in line and expect to stop the world for a day to vote in person.
